Meia-Bola
Meia-Bola was my first ever gig. It is a children’s book written by Manuela Barros Ferreira and published by Edições Eterogémeas. It is a poetic interview to a sock and I experimented with everything I had seen in other books and liked. I will always cherish this book as it was the first time my work was chosen to be part of the Bologna Children’s Book Fair main show. I want to leave here a special thanks to the editor, Luís Mendonça, for putting up with my effervescent ways of thinking and to never let me less than I am as an artist. Cheers! The illustration of this book were selected for the Bologna Children’s Book Fair exhibition and were awarded a special mention from Prémio Nacional de Ilustração (DGLAB).
