No precipício era o verbo is the book that accompanies a spoken word show that four friends and poets, Carlos Barretto, António de Castro Caeiro, André Gago and José Anjos put together. What they propose is to look into the precipice as an exercise in contemplation and language. In an ode to poetry, they recite in a very crude and performative way poems by them and others. What I propose with the illustrations is a parallel visual poem that runs as a weaver of the written poems. The book was published by Abysmo and you can buy it here.
