This wall is painted on the side of a theatre building and the dance company that is currently occupying the space is very experimental. At some point in the conversation someone joked about the ideas that dancing is like a controlled fall and that became the tone to the piece.

This job was part of a promotional campaign for Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian's cultural program. It was directed by the keen eyes of Jorge Silva from Silva Designers. The illustrations were used in a myriad of communication materials such as posters, muppies, flyers, books and web.
This was one of my first agency commissioned job. Packaging for a premium Organic Olive oil. It was a very smooth process as the brief was very simple but then they disappeared. I couldn't reach them fand I thought the project was canceled. It wasn't until years later that I saw the box in a gourmet shop. Tried to call the client directly to see if they would pay me for the job but to no avail. It looked nice in person though.

Nebuloso is a small edition newsprint that agglomerates sketches and ideas not used on a subject matter. It was created to be part of my stall at Elcaf in London.
Living in this City is as a balancing act.A reflection in the City of ups and downs.A City that tops them all. It’s an a mazing City. The City feels fancy.Beating City.Slanted City.Sinking whit the City.Let’s dance into the City tonight. The City is nowhere to be found. The City of eternal Xmas.It is not always sunshine in the City. The City of the shortest distance between everything and everyone.
This was one of my first professional motion projects. I had some experience with storyboards but this project requires also that the illustrations work alone as pages of a book or eventually as part of a poster or a banner. The storyline was very straight forward, the voice over was powerful and above all, the story itself was brilliant. Steelcase greatest product is a see trough wire mesh paper basket. It was invented to prevent fires from regular bins in a time were cigarets and paper were extremely common in office buildings. This video is a celebration of that.
These illustration were part of s solo show at Ó! Gallery in Porto. As I could decide what I wanted to create I tried to see how far I could go with mixing illustration and comics. I was also interested in juxtaposing colours and narratives. The final pieces were all series of twenty silkscreened in two or three colours.
This started as my thesis show at School of Visual Arts Master's program: Illustration as a Visual Essay. David Sandlin was the teacher and curator of the show and this had a huge influence on the way I see and explore visual narratives. To look into the visual arts not only in its linear form but as a fluid life form. All the objects tell a story as people do. Most of them started as scrap or found material that in time were sown together to create this ever-growing cabinet of curiosities. It travelled quite a bit, from the United States, to Italy, Spain and Portugal in different setups. It is an ongoing project. If you would like to have it on your gallery or event, please send me an e-mail.

This book was made in a joined venture between the publishing house Tcharan and Vista Alegre, a household name in the porcelain business. We all know the story of the bull in a china shop, but this one has a twist, the narrative is based on a rumour that is spreading through china shop. This led us to make an accordion style book so, as the narrative evolves you unveil all the characters until you reach the elephant. I kind of works like and panoramic animation.
