Lisboa?

This book was created as an alternative tour guide to the city of Lisbon by published by Bas Bleu Illustration. It illustrates what at the time was the beginning of the beginning of the tourist boom in Portugal. Each chapter of the book is illustrated by a different illustrator, so I'm very accompanied by the likes of Catarina Sobral, Mariana Zanetti and Sherley Freudenreich.

Nebuloso

Nebuloso is a small edition newsprint that agglomerates sketches and ideas not used on a subject matter. It was created to be part of my stall at Elcaf in London.

The Cabinet of Curiosities

This started as my thesis show at School of Visual Arts Master's program: Illustration as a Visual Essay. David Sandlin was the teacher and curator of the show and this had a huge influence on the way I see and explore visual narratives. To look into the visual arts not only in its linear form but as a fluid life form. All the objects tell a story as people do. Most of them started as scrap or found material that in time were sown together to create this ever-growing cabinet of curiosities. It travelled quite a bit, from the United States, to Italy, Spain and Portugal in different setups. It is an ongoing project. In the beginning there were two cases, but evidences whatsoever.

Open your mouth, and I’ll see all the treasures of a well spent life.
Demons always have an answer at the tip of their tongues.
Demons always haunt the most beautiful melodies.
Music always takes you outside.
To dance is to run.
Travelling companions or the merry company.
Madame roulette.
Some say she had a sick beak.
He is curious, both ways.
Heads butt, but…
Yellow handyman

The thought of a tree is the certainty of a future.
